Overview:

PowerSchool provides cloud-based software that connects students, teachers, administrators and parents in K-12 with tools to improve educational outcomes and simplify school operations. Blackboard is a learning management system that is low-maintenance, modern and simple. It streamlines educator-learner workflows by sharing everything in one place.

Everything from mobile apps to classroom and student communications can be powered by using PowerSchool APIs to integrate with Blackboard.

This recipe illustrates how to securely authenticate and pass data between the two systems using an Authorization Bearer Token. The first branch of the process demonstrates passing client credentials to a Blackboard authentication servers to populate an Authorization Bearer Token. The second branch uses that token to authenticate and authorize a Powerschool getSchools() call. The file is transformed into a flat file and uploaded to Blackboard.

Use Boomi’s HTTP Client connector to connect PowerSchools APIs for secure access to student, parent and school data to power Blackboards web-based software.
